Westside Presbyterian Church

PLEASE NOTE: The Nominating Committee will soon begin its work of identifying a slate of officers for the Class of 2012 (election in November, installed in January). Nomination forms are available in the Narthex, as is the collection box.

The Session is the governing body of the church, made up of elders who are responsible for the spiritual path of the congregation and of discerning the will of Christ as they govern. The Session sets policy, approves baptisms and new members, oversees the financial situation, and hires ministers.

Elders

Elders are elected and ordained laypeople who meet on the third Monday of the month and serve three-year terms. Any member of the church may attend Session meetings. If you would like to serve on the Session, please contact Jim Neujahr, secretary of Session.

Deacons

Deacons are laypeople who are responsible for caring for and nurturing other members of the congregation. Each deacon is assigned a parish area (indicated after each name) and tends to the members who live there. They are elected for three-year terms.
