How to Join West Side

Membership at West Side means joining a community of believers, a group of people who together are striving to serve God, love others, understand the Bible, and have a meaningful spiritual relationship with one another and with the world. Any interested individuals are invited to join us at any time.

New member classes are held as needed, usually on Saturday, but there is some flexibility.  Attendance at one class is all that is required prior to becoming a member, and attendance is not a commitment to joining.

Topics covered in the classes include what it means to be a Presbyterian; how the church is organized and administered; what the requirements of membership are; and an overview of West Side's many areas of concern, such as Mission, Worship & Music, Spiritual Growth, etc.

Following completion of the classes, new members are formally welcomed in worship the following Sunday. After joining, each new member is assigned a mentor-a member who will answer questions, attend services and events together (if desired), help the new member find his or her way around, and generally serve as a guide to West Side.

Please consider joining us. For information, call Carol Walton in the church office, ext. 11, carol@westside.org.
