Children's Choirs
Cantate Choir (Grades K-1), Carol Choir (Grades 2-3), and Children's Choir (Grades 4-8) meet on Thursdays from 4:00 - 6:00 pm as part of Kids Club and Music and sing for Intergenerational Sundays (once a month) at 10:30 am, as well as on Easter Sunday and Christmas Eve. Parents and children alike are invited for pizza at 5:45 pm! Register here!
During rehearsals, children learn how to read music and play handbells, chimes, and Orff instruments. They also learn teamwork and problem-solving skills, boost their vocabulary and language skills, gain confidence, expand their social circle, grow in their faith, and have fun!
"Singing in a choir engages all parts of a child's body, mind, and spirit, connecting the words and music in a way that stays with them for life," says Dr. Steven Seigart, Minister of Music at West Side. "We are so lucky to have a legacy of strong Children and Youth Music at West Side, where our core philosophy remains that wherever you are in your musical or faith journey, there is a place—and choir—for you!"
West Side's 54th Summer Choir School: August 10-14! It offers kids in grades 2 through 9 a fun and meaningful summer experience, combining joyful music with faith formation, community, and a choice of activities like sports, arts and crafts, and handbells! For children PK4 through first grade, our Little Learners Music Camp runs in conjunction with Summer Choir School. Register Here
