We welcome the Universal Institute and Rehab facility to The Gallery!

West Side is excited to welcome the Universal Institute and Rehab facility to The Gallery for their exhibition, "Collaboration and Relay" 

This Gallery show will feature works by their adult clients with Traumatic Brain Injuries, created during their Cognitive Therapy sessions. Instead of having a single owner, each piece is passed to teammates along the creation process like a baton in a relay race. For instance, in their cement studio, one client will read the recipe, mix the cement, and pour it into molds. Another client takes that cement creation and sands and files the rough edges. Later, a different group of clients may use a water and nail polish technique to add swirls of color to the final product. 

Each completed piece represents not just one artist but the teamwork, ideas, and collaboration of many, allowing the Universal Institute and Rehab facility to make the most of the skills and interests of each client while helping them progress in their personal and therapeutic goals.

This show highlights jewelry, greeting cards, household decor, paintings, and fashion, showcasing innovative materials such as cement, resin, canvas, and fabric.

There will be a Gallery Show on Sunday, May 5, from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm. Come and meet the artists behind the unique and special pieces of art! 

Stop by The Gallery to see the Universal Institute and Rehab facilities exhibit on weekdays during May from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm or between 8:00 am and 1:00 pm on Sunday. See something you like? Bring it home! West Side receives 25 percent of sales.
