There’s this thing called Unitary Executive Theory—the idea that the President holds sole authority over the executive branch. It’s efficient, decisive, and removes red tape—but also limits checks and balances. Some argue it’s what America needs. Others see danger in any leader claiming near-absolute power—especially when that power is framed as divinely ordained.

Throughout history, rulers have claimed to speak for God to justify their control. What happens when faith is used to sanctify political power? What does the Bible actually say about “rulers”?
