West Side Teens

Our goal is to help our youth become true disciples of Jesus Christ by building relationships with them, being examples for them and teaching them God’s Word.

Middle School Youth Group

Our 6th through 8th graders meet every other Sunday at 5:00 pm (September through June) for an hour and a half of fun, connection and faith formation. The youth also enjoy a weekend together at Camp Johnsonburg in December!

High School Youth Group

Every Sunday at 7:00 pm, from September through June, high schoolers get together for a low-key hour of fun, fellowship and faith formation with Pastor Penny. It’s a great opportunity for kids to escape the stress and pressure of school, be themselves, make new friends and serve the community too. A highlight of the fall is spending a weekend together at Camp Johnsonburg

Confirmation

Twice a month from September through May, teens meet with Pastor Liz for our FOCUS (Finding Ourselves in Christ through Unity and Service) Confirmation Class. Together, they explore their personal faith, delve deeper into what it means to be a Christian, participate in meaningful service projects, and prepare to publicly profess their faith and become "official" members of West Side. Along the way, bonds are formed and lasting friendships are built. Email Pastor Liz to get started.

Summer Service Project

Every summer, our high school youth and adult leaders spend a week in service to others - providing critical home repairs for low-income families in rural Central Appalachia, for example, or contributing to a community construction project in Boston. Wherever they go, and whatever they're working on, it's a transformative experience. This July, the youth will be serving with Appalachia Service Project in West Virginia, helping to make homes warmer, safer and drier.
