Our goal is to help our children become true disciples of Jesus Christ by building relationships with them, being examples for them and teaching them God’s Word.
Sunday School and Child Care
We're excited to welcome your children on Sunday morning! Orange, our vibrant Sunday School strategy for preschool through 7th grade, combines the light of the church (yellow) with the heart of the family (red) to form a lifelong faith in Christ (orange). Each month has a theme—kindness, love—that is carried through with easy lessons to do at home. There’s even an app (Parent Cue) that you can use on the go! The result? Home + Church = Greater Impact.
Sunday School for K-8 kids takes place at 9:00 am and 10:30 am on the lower level. Nursery and Pre-K meet in rooms 211 and 213. Please plan to arrive a few minutes early to "check in."
Register online to eliminate paperwork!
On Intergenerational Sundays, children are in worship with us, the children's choirs sing at the 10:30 am service, the scripture follows the Sunday School lesson plan, and the sermon is family friendly! One transept also is transformed into a "Creative Worship Center" with colorful rugs for kids to sit on, coloring pages and bingo games. Please note that the nursery in Room 211 is open for infants, toddlers and preschoolers on Intergenerational Sundays.
Intergenerational Sunday Dates: February 11, March 24 and May 5
Kids Club + Music
Crafts, games, Bible stories, music - it all adds up to faith-based fun for K-8 kids every Thursday from 4:00 to 5:45 pm from September through June.
Family Bowling Day
Join us for two hours of Sunday-afternoon fun at Holiday Bowl in Oakland on January 21 at 3:00 pm! The $20 fee per child includes bowling, shoe rental, pizza and a drink. The deadline is January 7. Please note this is not a drop-off event. Parents are invited to stay and connect with one another while the children bowl together. What better time than the New Year for both adults and kids to make some new friends!
Family Square Dance and Chili Cook-Off
Break out your plaid shirt, jeans and cowboy boots and get ready to do-si-do at our Family Square Dance and Chili Cook-Off on Saturday, February 3 at 5:00 pm. All ages are invited - toddlers to seniors! Come out and learn the steps from a professional square dance caller—or just sit back and listen to the music. No experience required. The only requirement is to have a good time! Note: If you'd like to participate in the Chili Cook-Off, please email Pastor Penny.
