Infants and Toddlers

While you're in worship, your infant or toddler will be lovingly cared for in our nursery, which is staffed by nurturing adults who create a caring and fun environment for the youngest ones in our congregation. Of course, your children also are welcome to join you in the sanctuary during the service. Click here to inquire about baptism.

Sunday School

Orange, our vibrant Sunday School program for preschool through 7th grade, combines the light of the church (yellow) with the heart of the family (red) to form a lifelong faith in Christ (orange). Each month has a theme—kindness, love—that is carried through with easy lessons to do at home. There’s even an app (Parent Cue) that you can use on the go! The result? Home + Church = Greater Impact.

Sunday School takes place during both the 9:00 am (Contemporary) and 11:00 am (Traditional) services. We're excited to welcome you and your children on Sunday morning! Please plan to arrive a few minutes early to check in. Click here to register online and eliminate paperwork! Masks are required for children under the age of 12 .

West Side Nursery School

For more than 50 years, West Side Nursery School has provided families in Ridgewood and surrounding communities with a warm and caring play-based environment for children (ages 2 1/2 to 6) to learn and grow, while fostering self-esteem, respect for others, strong interpersonal skills and a lifelong love of learning. Schedule a tour!

Kids Club + Music

Crafts, games, Bible stories, choir - it all adds up to faith-based fun for K-8 kids every Thursday from 4:00 to 5:45 pm from September through June. Click here to sign up.

Middle School Youth Group

Our 6th, 7th and 8th graders get together at the Youth Barn every third Wednesday from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. It's a safe place for kids to get away from the pressures of school and just be kids - hang out, have fun, make new friends, serve the community in a meaningful way and, of course, strengthen their relationship with Jesus. Email Pastor Penny for more information.

Confirmation Class

Once a week from October through May, 8th graders meet with Pastor Penny for our FOCUS (Finding Ourselves in Christ through Unity and Service) Confirmation Class. Together, the teens explore their personal faith, delve deeper into what it means to be a Christian, participate in meaningful service projects, and prepare to publicly profess their faith and become "official" members of West Side. Along the way, bonds are formed and lasting friendships are built. Email Pastor Penny for more information.

Please note: West Side is committed to being a safe church - free from abuse of any kind. All staff, leadership and volunteers who participate in programs with children and youth must complete Safe Church training every year and abide by a strict Code of Conduct.
