Glory to God Hymn Sing

Here at West Side, we're so excited to introduce our new hymnal, Glory to God! The successor to The Presbyterian Hymnal (1990), this new collection of Psalms, Hymns, and Spiritual Songs arrived to the church on Wednesday, and within the week, our New Hymnal Committee will be making the swap from Blue to Purple!

You can help us celebrate the new hymnal in three key ways:

• Come to Worship on Homecoming Sunday, September 7 at 10 a.m. (one service), where we will crack the bindings, formally dedicate the new books, and begin to sing from Glory to God for the first time! We'll also have a number of the outgoing blue hymnals in the narthex for you to take home with you, if you like. The rest will be donated to worshiping communities that need them.
• Join us at 3 p.m. that same day for a fun and informative Community Hymn-Sing with the organ, piano, other instruments, and Chancel Choir! We'll be sampling some brand new hymns, some older favorites that you know and love that weren't in the 1990 hymnal, and learning a little more about what makes this new hymnal special.
• Add a blookplate dedication "In honor of..." or "In memory of..." a loved one to one of the 650 new books by using this form. We hope to have dedications in each of them! You can also use this form to order a hymnal for your personal use at home.

Help us "sing a new song to the Lord" and model for the next generation what it means to sing our faith!
